NON-HAWAII RESIDENT INFORMATION

Do I need a reservation to visit Hāʻena Sate Park?

Yes. You either need a Park Entry Reservation or a Parking and Entry Reservation. A Parking Reservation grants you park access, you need both a parking reservation AND entry ticket for yourself and the passengers in your vehicle.

Does my Parking reservation provide Entry to ALL passengers within the vehicle?

You must select the number of passengers in your vehicle with the vehicle parking reservation. On the Start Order page, select parking, select the date/time you wish to make the reservation for, then select the number of passengers from the select quantity drop down menu. Children three and under do not need an entry voucher.

If you wish to reserve more than one time slot for a given day, enter all the times you wish a parking voucher for and then select the number of passengers from the select quantity drop down menu. You will only be charged for the entries once and parking will be charged at $10.00 per time slot.

NON-HAWAII RESIDENT: Can a local Hawaii resident drop me off at the park?

Yes, you can get dropped off at the park but you will still need a reservation to enter the park.

Does my Parking reservation provide Entry to ALL passengers within the vehicle?

There are no parking options available at Hāʻena State Park without a Parking voucher. Valid forms of transportation with an Entry voucher are via walking, a non-motorized vehicle, rideshare/taxi, or carpooling with a Hawaiian Resident with State Issued ID.

There are no more parking reservations, can I just park along the side of the road?

No. Parking along the shoulder of the road is not permitted and vehicles found to be in violation are subject to a $200 fine. To enter Hāʻena State Park, to hike 2 miles or 8 miles, or go to the beach, you will need an entry voucher per person. If you arrive on foot, bicycle, or are dropped off, you need entry tickets for all members of your party.

NON-HAWAII RESIDENT: Can I make reservations upon arrival?

No. Reservations must be made online prior to arrival. Please Note: Cellular service is extremely limited at the park. It is best to assume you will not have internet access while at or near the park. All reservations MUST be made in advance. You cannot purchase a same-day reservation at the park. There is no waitlist or stand by.
